Apparently a check disk has been scheduled. This can be accomplished in one of two ways. The first method is to open command prompt and type chkdsk /f on the command prompt command line. The second way is to open My Computer > right click and choose properties > Tools tab > Check now > Place a check mark in the box which corresponds with Automatically fix file system errors. This is a windows maintenance feature that should be used frequently. It is designed to assist in the repair errors on the disk. Note that it will only run during start-up when the system volume is not in use. Checkout the article on the link below for a list of chkdsk commands and their respective functions. http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/chkdsk.mspx?mfr=true Sometimes deciding which battle to fight is the toughest battle of all..
